Teaching was approached in a calm manner, you were encouraged to work hard, but were also given the responsibility and freedom to make your own decisions. My favourite subject while studying at DLD was Economics as I enjoy discussing issues, which are happening in the world.”

When I fi rst came to DLD, I found it extremely easy to settle in as there were lots of other new students from various countries, everyone was very friendly and open-minded. I was a member of the Student Council and found it most interesting. I got to organise different events that took place in the College, and developed my organisation and leadership skills.”

Mikhail came to DLD with little English, but much talent and charisma, and we soon became aware he was a great pianist/composer. Besides his talent, he was also very kind and generous with his time, and we were fortunate to enjoy his performances in all of our big events. He completed A level in Music Technology in just one year. Only exceptional students are able to do this, and achieve a high grade. Mikhail’s burning ambition was to study at Goldsmiths College. He was delighted that subsequent to being interviewed there he was offered the Alexander Ivashkin Scholarship. We were immensely proud and happy for him, that he secured his scholarship through his hard work.
